Developed around the well regarded local pub also recognised in the Best Country Pub awards it has built a good reputation for serving local produce and ales along with offering free wi-fi they will even deliver to your front door if you fancy a quiet night in. A short walk from the Cornwall County Show ground that hosts numerous events throughout the year from the Royal County Show to horse racing and touring circus s from around the world. The extremely popular destination of Padstow is a 10 minute drive from your door renowned for its selection of fish restaurants a picturesque harbour and the celebrity chef Rick Stein a must when venturing to this part of the world. Also 6 miles from your door is the area known as Seven Bays for Seven Days where you can literally have a different beach to enjoy each day. The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: both reached via cottage style stairs 1 double with TV Freeview estuary and sea glimpses and 1 twin. Bathroom: with shower over bath and WC. Lounge/kitchen/diner: on the ground floor with cosy woodburner flatscreen TV Freeview DVD selection of books and board games. Kitchen area with integrated oven and hob microwave fridge/freezer and washing machine. Outside: the property is reached via a shared courtyard and to the rear is a shared enclosed garden with private seating and arbour. Amenities: off-road parking available in shared car park. Bed linen towels electric first basket of logs (September - Christmas) and heating included. Regret no smoking. 1 well behaved dog welcome. Location: sandy beach 7 miles pebble beach 1 mile shop 0.5 mile and pub on-site offering free wi-fi (pub is dog friendly).

North Cornwall
Wilder and more rugged than the south of the county, North Cornwall is a land of
tall headlands, sandy beaches and empty moorland – yours to explore from one of
our holiday cottages in North Cornwall. The busy resort of Newquay is a major attraction,
with its glorious beaches and fantastic conditions for surfers. Nearby Perranporth
also boasts some fantastic beaches, perfect for sun-lovers. You’ll find many more
lovely beaches, like those at Bude for example, waiting for you on one of our North
Cornwall cottage holidays. This part of Cornwall has become a bit of a mecca for
food lovers too. Rick Stein has put Padstow on the map and more chefs, including
Jamie Oliver, are joining him, attracted by the quality of the ingredients available
locally. Then there is St. Ives, long a haunt of artists drawn here by the wonderful
light and inspiring scenery. A cottage holiday in North Cornwall puts you in touch
with history from ancient celtic times to the days of the smugglers. Tintagel Castle,
rumoured to be the birthplace of King Arthur, sits high on a cliff and still has
a strange air of mystery about it.
South Cornwall
Wonderful scenery, a mild climate, sparkling blue seas and charming seaside villages
make South Cornwall a firm favourite for cottage holidays whatever the season. And
we have a fabulous choice of holiday cottages in South Cornwall from which to make
the most of this lovely part of the country. The Cornish Riviera takes in some of
South Cornwall’s most popular resorts and many of our holiday cottages in South
Cornwall are located nearby. Picturesque Fowey is a haven for sailors, while the
Roseland Peninsula is a noted beauty spot. Mevagissey, St. Mawes and St. Just are
all well worth a visit. Not to be missed is the Eden Project, a fascinating recreation
of different biospheres, featuring a wide variety of exotic plantlife. You should
also make time for a trip to atmospheric St. Michael’s Mount and on to Land’s End,
the most westerly point in England. The county town of Truro has a lovely cathedral
and some excellent shopping opportunities, while Penzance is a bustling resort,
famed for its warm weather and sub-tropical plants. And do make sure you sample
the pasties, saffron cake and clotted cream – all local delicacies, – during your
cottage holiday.
